If driving from the airport to Les Gets, follow signs for France and then Chamonix Mont -Blanc via the A40 autoroute. Whether driving from the airport or all the way from home, you can leave the autoroute in two places:
(i) at junction 16 (Vallee Verte), which is the next junction after the Nangy toll. Follow signs for St. Jeoire and Samoens. In Taninges, turn left up the hill for Les Gets; or
(ii) at junction 18 (Cluses). After the Cluses toll, follow signs for Les Gets/Morzine. In Taninges, turn right at the junction opposite the Cafe Central and then turn left up the hill for Les Gets.
As an example, it can take at least 8 hours (but often more with rest stops) to drive from Calais to Les Gets and you may have to allow 10+ hours at peak holiday periods when the traffic can be very heavy.
