Skiing

Les Gets (1172m to 2460m) has over 100km of green, blue, red and black runs linked into the massive Portes de Soleil network.

The Portes du Soleil offers 210 lifts providing access to over 600km of runs, with slopes suitable for all abilities and many off-piste areas.

There really is something for everyone. Beginners can find their ski legs on the flat areas in the village and will soon progress to the gentle slopes of the Chavannes mid-station area, accessed by the new "Red Egg" telecabine. You can also use this lift to get back to the village centre if you are too tired to ski down.

Intermediates will love the Les Gets bowl and the beautiful tree-lined runs around this area. There is no shortage of great blue and red runs to keep you satisfied all week.

More adventurous skiers will find a challenge on the steeper reds and blacks in the Nyon and Chamossiere sectors. Here you can also find some superb off-piste when conditions are right. There is a new high speed chairlift being installed for this coming season which will improve access to this area - you won't have to use the really steep draglift at Blanchots.

Not forgetting Mont Chery, the "locals' mountain". Often very quiet, it has some wonderful cruising blues and reds, as well as the Snowpark.

We can organise special day trips to resorts in the Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley if you would like to try something different, including skiing the famous Vallée Blanche or guided skiing off-piste.
