Ski Instruction may be booked in advance or arranged during your stay (subject to availability). It is recommended that you book well in advance if you require instruction during any of the peak holiday weeks of Christmas, New Year, February school holidays or Easter. Les Gets, and the whole of the Portes de Soleil get pretty busy during these times.
Each of the ski schools has a wide range of lessons and prices. You should think about what would benefit you best. For many of our customers a few hours here and there in a private lesson with a small company are more beneficial and affordable than a full programme of lessons through the week.
Lessons will almost always take place in the Les Gets/Morzine ski area. Access to the start of your lesson will be simple – take the red gondola from the centre of town to the mid-station and meet your instructor there. There is no need to have put your skis on, which is a relief for those on their very first day.
For a change or a treat, you can usually find an instructor to take you for a guided day or half-day – off piste, moguls, freestyle whatever suits your desires and abilities.
Do not forget the ESF – the guys in red are great with beginners and children and offer some really good value lessons and packages.
